Salicylic Acid (BHA)

Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid (BHA), which is able to soften and dissolve keratin, a protein that can block pores and cause congestion in the skin. Salicylic acid is oil-soluble, so can penetrate into blockages and exfoliate from within the pore.
